We are thrilled to invite you to our farm for a Summer packed with hands-on workshops.

Working with gorgeous fresh flowers from this seasons fields, they are the perfect opportunity to learn new skills, mark a special occasion or simply spend time with old friends – while making new ones!

hand-tied bouquet workshops

Learn the art of creating your own unique hand tied bouquet using flowers from our farm.

Bristol florist Yann Collins will guide you through the fundamentals of of a DIY bouquet including:

  • Cutting and conditioning flowers, spiralling bouquet technique
  • Using colour, focals, filler and other design elements
  • How to tie and wrap your stunning bouquet.

flower arranging workshops

Build your own show-stopper flower arrangement!

Let us guide you through:

  • A tour of our flower patch and how to choose the correct stage of bloom
  • Cutting and conditioning flowers
  • Utilise different design elements and styles
  • Using chicken wire to help structure your arrangement and work with all the colours available from our beautiful flower patch. 

You will make one large arrangement in a vase/vessel you have brought from home and one small jam jar arrangement, both to take home with you.

Bring your own vase/jug/bowl/vessel to take your arrangement home! Ideally a larger vase or jar with a 10-15cm+ opening and minimum 15cm deep. If you can’t bring a vessel let us know and we will supply one for an additional £5

ADDITIONAL INFO AND HOW TO GET HERE…

  • Children under the age of 16 must be supervised at all times. Children are free if not participating in workshop – but please let us know ahead of time so we can accomodate seating.
  • Sensible footwear needed as some ground may be uneven.
  •  Workshops will be held under our lovely shelter but will include time spent in the flower patch and other areas of the farm – please wear weather appropriate clothing and bring suncream if required
  • Tea and coffee provided, please bring water bottles and any snacks you might need
  • We do not have parking on our little farm, so encourage you to take to two wheels, train or bus; plan a cycle here, bus times – which you can check here, and for trains to Nailsea + Backwell station check out GWR.
