EVENT ON THE FARM: Summer Circle Dance
Join us at our beautiful farm; to celebrate life and the seasons with the oldest form of community folk dance.
Saturday 25th july 2026
3.30pm – 6pm
Five Acre Farm Stretch tent
FREE for all

Circle dances are simple, fun, community dances that bring us together. They are done to folk or contemporary music from different parts of Europe and the world, with exciting rhythms and beautiful melodies.
We will be joined under our stretch tent by local, live musicians.
Dancing in a circle is the oldest form of community dance with traditional folk dances celebrating the seasons, work, life, love and loss.
All ages and abilities welcome. No prior experience is necessary as the steps will all be taught on the day.
Things to consider:
- We are a working farm; so please wear suitable footwear for uneven ground, and clothing suitable for the weather.
- There will be light refreshments available to purchase from our Flower Barn – but please bring a refillable bottle of water to keep you hydrated!
- Parking is limited so we ask to please use public transport or cycle – see below for arrival information.
- Suitable for all ages, but all children below 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Where can I park?
Parking at 5 Acre Farm is extremely limited so we encourage you to walk, cycle or come by public transport if possible – buses from central Bristol stop right outside the farm (Kellways stop) and Nailsea and Backwell train station is also close by.
If you do come by car and park on nearby streets, please help us keep good relations with our neighbours by parking respectfully:
- Don’t park with wheels up on pavement
- Don’t block anyone’s driveway or access
- Don’t park near a junction
- Be mindful of noise levels when leaving, especially in the evening
If there isn’t space to park well right outside the farm, please park a little further towards the centre of Backwell and walk 5 mins.
