EVENT ON THE FARM: Bat Walk
BAT WALK : FREE
Friday 28th August 2026
19:45 – 21:15
Come learn all about bats from local ecologist Sarah Dale and see if you can even spot some yourself – with the help of special bat detectors – on this evening walk at our 5 Acre Farm.
This is a free event, although donations are welcomed. Read on for more info on visiting our farm.

Things to consider:
- We are a working farm; so please wear suitable footwear for uneven ground, and clothing suitable for the weather.
- There will be light refreshments available to purchase from our Flower Barn – but please bring a refillable bottle of water to keep you hydrated!
- Parking is limited so we ask to please use public transport or cycle.
- Suitable for all ages, but all children below 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Where can I park?
Parking at 5 Acre Farm is extremely limited so we encourage you to walk, cycle or come by public transport if possible – buses from central Bristol stop right outside the farm (Kellways stop) and Nailsea and Backwell train station is also close by.
If you do come by car and park on nearby streets, please help us keep good relations with our neighbours by parking respectfully:
- Don’t park with wheels up on pavement
- Don’t block anyone’s driveway or access
- Don’t park near a junction
- Be mindful of noise levels when leaving, especially in the evening
If there isn’t space to park well right outside the farm, please park a little further towards the centre of Backwell and walk 5 mins.
