Here we go again! Words from George Ferguson as we’re faced with a second lockdown

It has been great fun over the past 25 years building a circular local economy with the Tobacco Factory at its hub. We have had our challenges – and none greater than now – but the addition of 5 Acre Farm to this extended ‘family’ has been a real highlight in our ambition to grow much of our own food, while supporting healthy diets, local jobs, community cohesion, and a cleaner environment.   

Faced with a second lockdown we are building on the lessons we learnt last time round by providing a wider food choice in our shop as well as extending our takeaway and delivery service in the build up to Christmas.  We are teaming up with Mark’s Bread and Bristol Beer Factory and other dedicated local producers to deliver their wonderful products via e-van and e-bike.

We certainly don’t see this as a temporary change but about helping to build a better future for all, and we welcome any feedback as to how we can improve our service and help you with your local needs while taking much greater care of our city and planet.
